The formation of a new build Endoscopy unit at a major District Hospital. We were appointed under a JCT Design & Build contract to undertake the full M&E design from RIBA Stage 1 and the main contractor design from RIBA Stage 4
CP Hood Mechanical & Electrical carried out the Design & Build becoming involved in the project at inception stage offering some sketch ideas and budget costs in spirits of HTM compliance.
Working closely with the Client, we successfully managed the design in keeping with the contract budget.
We calculated the peak demand for the building early engagement with the DNO and managed to get the supply directly off the LV network.
Services included LED lighting, bedhead lighting, nurse call, power & containment inc fire & security. Mechanically, we had to achieve Part L compliance with PV, VRF with electric radiant heating, central domestic hot & cold water, gravity drainage, highly efficient heat recovery ventilation and controls.
