Our Company

HESQ

CP Hood are committed to adhering to all of the priciples of HESQ.
HESQ is a comprehensive management approach used by us to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal standards. It combines employee wellbeing, accident prevention, environmental sustainability, and product quality assurance to reduce risks, improve efficiency, and enhance operational performance.

Quality

Client focused

We believe in getting it right first time and adopt a positive and proactive approach to all tasks.

Quality is generated through our commitment to excellence and this is maintained with the Clients, Sub-Contractos and Manufactures through use of our own internal quality specifications in keeping with ISO9001.

Quality begins and ends with the Client and we strive to satisfy their needs regardless of the requirement and this is reflected in our flexible approach – both as individuals and as a collective organisation.

Quality

Always improving

Continuous improvement of the quality assurance process is paramount, this is achieved through business management reviews with the aim to continually improve business performance, process, products and services.

The procedures and goals of the company are reflected in:

  • High levels of customer satisfaction.
  • The delivery of the business commitment.
  • A highly motivated, competent and happy workforce.
  • Excellent workmanship and service.
  • Our growth & repeat business during the last decade.
Environment

Sustainability

The need for environmental protection forms an integral part of CP Hood’s philosophy.  We believe by using and installing low carbon and renewable technologies this will not compromise the ability of future generations to sustain their needs.

We continuously seek the most sustainable solutions to meet our clients’ needs, and strive to be at the forefront of the industry.

As a company, C.P. Hood Mechanical & Electrical set environmental objectives and goals. These are monitored and reviewed quarterly to achieve continuous improvement in both our current performance and on-going company targets.

Environment

C.P. Hood recognise the fundamental responsibilities of environmental issues, but particular attention is paid to the following areas:

  • Waste Management
  • Flora and Fauna in and around project locations
  • Recycling
  • Noise
  • Contamination
  • Conservation of energy

  • Training
  • Legislative Compliance
Health & Safety

Rigorous training

At C. P. Hood Mechanical & Electrical, health & safety is our absolute number one priority.

All of our site operatives hold a minimum CSCS status with the majority IPAF, PASMA, IOSH and NEBOSH trained. We do not hesitate to enrol our site operatives on to relevant training courses that may arise from our site and task specific risk assessment and method statements.

We regularly review our RAMS and benefit from the support of our external partner Brian Smithwick who acts on our behalf as overall group Health & Safety Manager.

Health & Safety

Accountability

Brian has acted for some of the larger contractors and whilst he has a good working relationship with the site team, he would not hesitate to issue any improvement notices or immediately stop work if this could in any way impact on the health & safety of them or others.

Brian randomly attends our sites (at our request) and issues the management team a thorough report upon completion.

We are always looking at ways to work in a safer environment and regularly attend H&S seminars and keep up to date with the recently changed Principle Designer role which we offer more regularly to our Clients.

Our management team are either SSSTS or SMSTS accredited.
